Previous Student

"We're parents of a child with the gift of dyslexia. Tara noticed it early on, and took it upon herself to work 1:1 with our child in a way that promoted growth. Prior to this, our child, who currently just completed second grade, is only now beginning to read because of Tara. She is highly effective in her teaching strategy, she learns each child's needs, she genuinely cares for her students, and she's stern enough with the kids to keep them focused on school material. Finding the right teacher/tutor can be daunting. I highly recommend Ms. Roepke to any parents looking for additional support with their students, whether their students are excelling or struggling, you will definitely notice significant results." ~Jackson Family

Tutoring Client

"I reached out to Tara when my son was struggling. Her expertise in various learning styles was a true saving grace for us. Our son was months behind academically, and struggled being taught by a teacher that did not understand his learning profile. She diplomatically guided the situation to help us and the teacher understand how my son needed to be instructed in order for him to access the curriculum and for him to make meaningful progress. She also helped identify some challenges, and helped curate a plan of action to address them which she consistently followed up on. She was an amazing case manager and instructor!" ~Singh Family

Current Client

"Our son was falling more and more behind in reading. Tara listened to our concerns and took time to learn about my son. Then, she paired us with with a wonderful reading specialist! Now my son is finally catching up in reading. We've seen so much growth in his skills and his confidence. Tara also helped guide us through the evaluation process. We highly recommend Teach Them To Thrive! Tara is so helpful and her tutors are wonderful!"

“We've had a wonderful experience working with Kennedy at Teach Them To Thrive over the past two years. As parents of a 7 and 11 year old, we were looking for someone who could genuinely connect with our kids — and she has exceeded our expectations. Kennedy has a real talent for building reading skills in a way that keeps children engaged and excited, rather than making it feel like a chore. Kennedy combines strong, proven teaching techniques with a warm approach that makes our children actually want to learn. We couldn't recommend her and Teach Them To Thrive more highly.” ~ Lippert Family

Consulting Client

"Tara has been advising me and advocating for my daughter for the last three years. Originally, I reached out when I knew something was off with my daugther's learning, but the school kept assuring me everything was "fine". Tara helped me get an evaluation from the school, understand the evaluation, and get my daughter the kind of services she needed. She also helped me understand the process and my rights as a parent. Now, we still reach out to Tara every so often to ensure my daughter has appropriate goals and services. She is knowledgeable, prompt, and assertive. We are so thankful we found her." ~S Family

Consulting Client

"Before working with Tara, we felt completely overwhelmed in trying to help our son. She helped us advocate for an evaluation, explained the results in a way we could actually understand, attended meetings, and helped us make sure our son had meaningful goals, services, and accommodations. What stood out most was how much Tara truly cared about our child. She was always prepared, professional, and a strong advocate, but she also helped us to build a positive relationship with the school team. She helped us communicate effectively and work collaboratively while still making sure our child's needs stayed the priority. We walked into every meeting feeling informed and knew what to expect. We are so grateful for Tara's guidance and would highly recommend her to any family navigating the IEP process."
